A 3 cm pine top sitting on two steel trestles, held by four bolts from underneath. The top comes off in a minute, which is how it gets up a narrow stair or into a lift. It is the cheapest desk here and the one to buy for a child's room or a desk that might move.
It is reduced because the trestle is being redesigned with a slightly wider foot next season; this one is stable and carries the same guarantee. Pine is soft: a ballpoint pressed hard through a single sheet leaves a line in the top. A desk pad fixes it.
