Furniture for the room you actually have

Beds that are two centimetres wider than the mattress. Nightstands for a 40 cm gap. Desks that fit under a window. Every page tells you the size, the weight it takes, how long the bolts take and what the wood will do in five years.

What every product page tells you

Size, load, minutes, and the catch

Fit

Width, depth and height for the option shown, and a one-line room note — “fits a 3 m wall with a nightstand each side” — so you can measure before you buy.

Load & assembly

What it holds in kilograms, how many minutes the bolts take and whether you need a second pair of hands. The sizes page covers stairs and lifts.

The drawback

Pine dents. Oak needs re-oiling. Steel shows fingerprints. Each page says which, in plain words, above the add-to-basket button.

Furniture, by what it is

Beds, bedside, seating, storage, desks and mirrors. Nothing that needs a bigger room than a bedroom.

All 30 pieces

What goes into most rooms

A nightstand, a stool, a wall shelf, a bed. In that order, most months.

Four materials

Oak, ash, pine and steel, and what each one does to you

We make furniture from three woods and one metal, and each of them has a habit. The product page tells you which, so the first scratch is not a surprise.

Oak is hard, heavy and darkens a shade in its first year; the oil needs renewing every two or three years. Ash is paler and lighter and marks from a wet glass within the hour. Pine is cheap, light and soft: it dents, and its knots can weep a bead of resin in a warm room. Powder-coated steel never creaks and never warps, but charcoal shows fingerprints and a hard knock chips it to bare metal.

None of it is lacquered. Oil can be renewed on the kitchen table with a rag; lacquer cannot, and a scratch in lacquer is a scratch for good.

What the guarantee covers

Frames, joints and welds for 5 years. A rail that splits, a tenon that loosens, a weld that cracks: we repair or replace the part and pay the carriage. Dents, scratches and the oil wearing thin are the material living in your house, and are not covered.

Everything new

Measured, not described

Width, depth, height, load and a room-fit note on every card. Doorway and stair widths on the sizes page.

5-year structural guarantee

Frames, joints and welds. If a part fails in normal domestic use, the part is replaced and the carriage is ours.

Two-person kerbside delivery

Everything heavy arrives with two people. €24,00 flat, free from €350,00. Room-of-choice is an option at checkout.

Bolts, not cam locks

Every flat-pack piece uses steel bolts into threaded inserts, so it can be taken apart for a move and put back together as tight as the first time.

A finish or a part we are changing

A colour being retired or a bracket being redrawn. The piece is unchanged and so is the guarantee. Reduced against the price we charged for at least 30 days in the past six months.

“The page said the ledge would be a toe-stubber for a week. It was a toe-stubber for exactly a week. Three years on it is the only bed I have owned that does not creak.”
